How a spa qualifies for this page

Two conditions only: the spa is in Switzerland, and its checked record confirms a mountain location. Every detail on the listings — pools, saunas, admission, accommodation — comes from the operator's own website, and nothing is ranked or scored. Six spas currently meet that test, spread across five cantons: two in Graubünden (Vals and Scuol) and one each in Valais, Vaud, Lucerne and St. Gallen.

Day visits and overnight stays

All six spas sell day admission, so none of them requires a hotel booking to bathe. The conditions differ, though: at 7132 Therme Vals, external visitors must reserve one of a limited number of tickets online, while Leukerbad Therme and Tamina Therme sell timed as well as full-day entry. Three of the six — in Vals, Lavey-les-Bains and Rigi Kaltbad — confirm an on-site hotel, each linking the stay to bath access on its own terms. Thermal water, mineral water and what else is on site

Four records confirm thermal water: Vals, Les Bains de Lavey, Leukerbad and Tamina Therme in Bad Ragaz. The two others, Bogn Engiadina Scuol and Mineralbad & Spa Rigi Kaltbad, describe pools filled with local mineral-spring water instead. Indoor and outdoor pools and a steam room appear in all six records; five also confirm a separate sauna area. Family rules are stated sparingly: Leukerbad Therme is the only listing explicitly marked family-friendly, with children's pools and slides, and no record here confirms an adults-only policy — check each operator's current age rules before visiting.
